The October 30th race will include a 500 meter swim, 16 mile bike ride, and a 3 mile run.
Space is limited to 900 racers.
Katy Triathlon registration is open and continues through October 25. Packets must be picked up either Friday, October 28, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, or Saturday, October 29, 11:00 to 6:00 pm at the Hilton Garden Inn, 2409 Texmati Drive, Katy, TX (located in front of the Katy Mills Mall). Any unclaimed packets after this time will be sold.
This is a USA Triathlon sanctioned event and membership is required. USA Triathlon official rules will govern this event. The Invitational Division is for those triathletes who have finished top 3 overall or won their age group at any Texas triathlon in 2011. Proof of placing must be furnished to race director. They will be the first wave to start the race.
Come out to support the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America by participating in the first Viva Las Vegas 5k Fun Run and Walk. Vegas-themed attire is recommended and there will be prizes for the top 3 Vegas costumes after the race! All ages are allowed, so please keep your attire appropriate.

The City of Katy requires that cats and dogs in the city be registered with the Animal Control Department by the age of six months. You can find the registration form on the website above. A valid rabies vaccination certificate and two dollars must accompany the form. Dogs and cats may not run at large, except on fenced property belonging to the dog or cat owner. Any dog or cat more than six months old must wear a collar or harness that has attached to it a current tag showing that the animal has been vaccinated against rabies by a Texas licensed veterinarian as well as a tag showing that the animal has a current license issued by the City of Katy Animal Control Officer.
Each residential development also has its own rules and regulations with regard to pets. Check with your Association for requirements.
