The Veterans of Foreign Wars, TX Post 9182 located at 6206 George Bush Drive in Katy, Texas will be celebrating with an auction, entertainment, a patriotic program, and a barbeque lunch. Events begin at 9:30am and last until 4pm. There will be face painting and treats for the children. Lunch goes on sale at noon. The Katy Heritage Society is organizing a Fourth of July Bike Parade for children ages 3-8. For more information contact katyheritage@aol.com.
La Centerra at Cinco Ranch will be holding the July 4th BIG Backyard Barbeque and Fireworks Display at Heritage Square from 5:30pm until 9:30pm. There will be live entertainment, food, kids’ activities and fireworks. For more information check out their events page.
The City of Katy will be holding a July 4th Freedom Celebration and Fireworks Display in a vacant lot near the eastside of the Katy Mills Mall, between the Mall and Katy Fort Bend Road. The fireworks will begin around 9pm and last for 20-25 minutes.
The Smith Ranch at 25440 Beckendorff in Katy is planning a Fourth of July Jamboree and Fireworks Show. They will have a live band, moonwalks, waterslides, paddle boats, dunking, and barbeque. For more information call the ranch at 281-371-3318 or check their website at www.smithranchkaty.com.
Seabourne Creek Nature Park located at 3831 Highway 36 South, Rosenberg, Texas 77471, www.ci.rosenber.tx.us, 832-595-3520, will be hosting its annual Independence Day celebration from 6pm-10pm.
