The 2012 Katy Visual and Performing Arts Center Annual Masquerade will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2012, from 6:30-10:00. Enjoy great food, fun casino games, and a performance by the Crimson Vagabond Roadshow.
Attendees are requested to wear business to cocktail attire, and masks are optional.
Masks can be purchased at the event or at KVPAC on Saturday, October 13 (prices range from $3-$30).
Purchase discount event tickets in advance, online or at KVPAC, for $25 per person. Tickets will cost $30 at the door
Come and participate in a fun and free cultural experience by celebrating Israel’s 64th Independence Day with the Houston Jewish community by attending a celebration from 5pm-7pm, TODAY, April 26 at the Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center located at 5601 S. Braeswood.
There will be entertainment for all ages including:
Games & crafts
Food & carnival snacks
(free 1/2 pita falafel as long as supplies last, drinks available for purchase)
Israeli folk dancing
Israeli animation short at 7:00 p.m. – “Ben Gurion Hosting” (for adults)
On Saturday, April 21st, Cinco Ranch will present its Third Annual Cinco Ranch Nature Adventure.
Free and Open to the Public, the event, will take place from 11AM to 3PM, outdoors near the Cinco Ranch Lake House, located at 25202 Springwood Lake Drive, Katy, Texas 77494.
All rides and shows will be FREE, including demonstrations by the Houston Zoo, Texas Snakes and More, the Houston Frisbee Dogs, and an array of other educational organizations.
In addition, there will be a petting zoo, pony rides, camel rides, bungee trampoline, and inflatables.
New this year will be a human gyroscope, a live bird show, an interactive photo booth, and more!
Food and drinks will be sold, along with items to be purchased or donations to be made.
Parking will be available along Spring Green Blvd with a hay ride to pick up guests and take them to the event site. When you arrive please follow the parking directional signs and police officer signals as they direct traffic.
April is National Volunteer Month and there is no shortage of volunteer opportunities in Katy, Texas! Just look around you… schools, churches, libraries, museums, hospitals… all need volunteers.
A “volunteer” is defined by the Merriam-Webster Dictionary as “a person who freely offers to take part in an enterprise or undertake a task.” Being a volunteer will improve your life, as well as the lives of others.

Over 300 exhibits spread out through two building and two floors will greet you at the Katy Home and Garden Show! Shop for window treatments, a home theater, your kitchen and bath, your garden, new flooring, and interior decor. Ten booths will be offering FREE food samples all made right here in Texas! In addition, The Brookwood Community’s Gift and Garden Market, in the Pavilion, will be selling wonderful garden and home decor accessories, all to benefit adults with functional disabilities. A live auction will be held to benefit area Boy Scouts. Show speakers include floral designer, Frank Bielec, and Tanya Senseney, also known as “CouponQueeny.”

This is the first year of the Mom Expo. Its theme is “Positive Affirmations of A Mother’s Journey” in order to “Celebrate A Mother’s Journey.” From pregnancy to childhood through adulthood, options are available to children in such areas as childhood education, development, recreation, and performing arts. Mom’s also have personal needs with regard to finance, beauty, and home, that will also be addressed here. Attendance at this event may give you the guidance and the answers that you have been seeking.
