Come out and walk with your dog for exercise and fun at Citizens for Animal Protection’s “HOWL-O-Ween” Dog Walk & Expo to raise funds for orphaned animals. Meet at LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch on the Grand Parkway for a fun-filled 1 mile walk around the shopping area. Join Rover Oaks Pet Resort afterwards for a Puppy Playtime and refreshments for both 2 and 4 legged friends.

Fort Bend County Fair!
Have some fun at the 75th Annual Fort Bend County Fair, from September 23 to October 2. There will be live entertainment, great food, and much more! Through the years, the Fort Bend County Fair has grown into one of the largest and most successful fairs in the State. Residents of the county eagerly anticipate visiting with friends and neighbors at some of the many activities the Fair has to offer.
Youth education has always been a primary focus in Fair activities. In more recent years, the development of a scholarship program has provided deserving 4-H, F.F.A., and F.H.A. students of Fort Bend County with scholarships to Texas colleges and universities.
A Season Pass costs $40; Adult Admission costs $10; Child Admission costs $5.

Hispanic Heritage Month: September 15 – October 15
iOle! Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a Fiesta!
Maud Smith Marks Branch Library is having a Festival with crafts, dancing, and food. There is no registration required, and all ages are welcome. The party will be held on Saturday, September 17th, from 1PM-4PM.

Rosenberg’s Hispanic Heritage Day will also take place on Saturday, September 17th, from 10 AM-6PM. The downtown Rosenberg event will feature Mariachi bands, dance performances, and cultural exhibits throughout the day. The Fort Bend Hispanic Heritage Forum will have a booth and is helping the City coordinate activities and entertainment throughout the event. There will be plenty of activities for the kids, and the Art League of Fort Bend and Gulf Coast Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalists will be on hand with exhibits and displays.

Morton Ranch High School Performing Arts Center is holding their Seventh Annual Latin Fest on Friday, September 23rd from 7PM-10PM. This Latin Cultural/Talent show presents the dancing, singing and culture of every Latin country along with Special Guests, Tati Soleil, Grupo Azendado, and 104.9 FM Tú Música! Tickets go on sale September 19 at the school during lunch for $5, and are also available at the door for $7. All proceeds go towards the MRHS Latinos Unidos Scholarship Fund. Any student who participates in the show then becomes eligible for a scholarship.
