The Texas Renaissance Festival is an activity I look forward to attending every year! Where else can one walk around dressed as a Princess or a Knight in Shining Armour while eating a huge turkey leg? And what’s more… so is everybody else! However, dressing up in costumes and the wonderful food are only the tip of the iceberg. There are pony rides, jousting competitions, theatrics, booths selling Renaissance paraphernalia, a circus, dancing, fireworks, music and magic. Themed weekends include:
Oktoberfest – October 8- 9
1001 Dreams – October 15 – 16
Pirate Adventure – October 22 – 23
All Hallows Eve – October 29 – 30
Roman Bacchanal – November 5 – 6
Celtic Christmas – November 25 – 27
