What a great Mother’s Day meal we had at the Palma de Cera Restaurant! The menu offers Latin American dishes which originate in Colombia, Cuba, Brazil, and Chile. We were a party of five and each of us ordered a different dish that each of us loved. I had Bistec Encebollado, my husband had the Argentinian steak, my son ordered the Ropa Vieja, my daughter ordered the Pechuga de Pollo Asada, and my son-in-law had the Boricuan Steak. Each meal was accompanied by beans, rice, sweet plantains and salad. Although we did not drink alcoholic beverages, the restaurant had a well stocked bar and the other patrons appeared pleased with the exotic drinks they ordered. The service was impeccable and the environment was pleasant. The walls were graced with prints by Fernando Botero. All I can say is that my father-in-law is coming into town from Miami, Florida, on Wednesday, and we will be taking him and other family members back there for a reunion that evening!
Try it. You’ll like it!
