Tried and True Chocolate Lava Cake (serves 2)
We love chocolate over here in the Wyman house! This recipe is a favorite for special occasions and tastes great with berries, powdered sugar, or ice cream! What a treat!
You will need:
1/3 Cup Dark Chocolate Chips
4 Tablespoons Butter
1 Egg + 1 Egg Yolk
2 Tablespoons Sugar
1 Tablespoon Flour
Preheat oven to 450F. Butter 2 ramekins and dust the inside with cocoa powder.
Melt the butter and chocolate in the microwave for 20-second intervals, mixing after each, until smooth.
In a separate bowl, beat the egg, egg yolk, and sugar for about 2 minutes.
Add the chocolate mixture and the flour to the egg mixture. Beat until smooth.
Pour the batter evenly between the ramekins and bake for about 12 minutes.
Let cool for 1 minute. Run a knife around the edges and invert onto a plate, if desired.
Add any toppings that you like and serve immediately.
