I was born in Louisiana (Kentwood, La) and I moved to Texas when I was about 14 and have to say that while I do own a pair of cowboy boots I rode more horses in Louisiana than here in Texas. Oh, I’ve never been to a rodeo either. Texas natives are proud of their heritage. I like the cowboys, the good old boys and the fact that you can just say Hey, I’m from Texas and they usually explains it all, no matter what the issue was. I may not have been born here, but as they say I got here as soon as I could. Now that I think of it, I can’t name a George Strait song either. But I do like Mark Chesnutt’s Bubba Shot the Juke Box.
